Weekly ranking methodology
Updated July 19, 2026
The weekly chart measures net GitHub Star growth across the complete Monday–Sunday period in Asia/Shanghai.
Data collection
A daily job captures public repository Star counts. The ranking job selects the nearest trustworthy snapshot around each boundary, within a maximum 36-hour gap.
Eligibility
- Public, listed source repositories only.
- Archived projects and mirrors are excluded.
- Both boundary snapshots must exist.
- Net growth must be positive.
Ordering and publication
Eligible repositories are sorted by net Star gain, then ending Star count. Ties are resolved deterministically. The Top 10 is generated and summarized Monday morning; incomplete results remain drafts.
